6 Alphabet Freebies to Build Literacy Skills: The Letter “A” Coloring and Tracing Sheet Printables

Teaching the alphabet, or the Word of God, doesn’t have to be difficult! In fact, the two shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. This freebie aims to teach both at the same time, with 6 sheets all about the letter “A”, where your child (or student) can have fun coloring or practice their tracing skills. Regardless of whether you homeschool, or if you teach in a Sunday school, or a private Christian school - this freebie will be super helpful to you and your students.

Details About the Freebie:

These coloring and tracing sheets are all about your identity in Christ - who the Bible tells us we are. We are “A” for “Accepted”!

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. Romans 15:7 (NIV)

Isn’t that such a wonderful message to teach your children? He has accepted us, just as we are, and we should aim to accept others as well. Your children can color the pages and practice their tracing skills with this free resource, with two coloring sheets and four tracing sheets. What’s great about the tracing sheets is that they are scaffolded, meaning there are different levels of support provided for your children.

Want More?

This freebie is a part of a larger resource - our Bible Affirmation Alphabet from the In His Garden: Faith-Based Curriculum. In this Coloring and Tracing sheet bundle, you’ll get 158 pages for your children to use to practice the alphabet and to learn the Word of God. They will learn all about their identity in Christ, whether you teach in a Christian or private school, a children's church program, Sunday School, or even homeschool. Each page features a Bible verse that goes along with that affirmation. With the letter tracing sheets, your students can practice both uppercase and lowercase letters.

While the coloring sheets can be appropriate for any age, the letter tracing sheets are more appropriate for children of Pre-kindergarten age and older. However, nothing is wrong with letter exposure. Just don’t expect a toddler to trace the letters correctly (and you shouldn’t force them to, either).

There are also options available if you JUST want the coloring sheets or if you JUST want the letter tracing sheets, so you don’t have to spend as much.
